I was doing 72. But at least it didn't scream at me to slow down. Yet...

If you speed up, will it?

Trapster would do the same thing, but it would always try to say one stretch of this 55MPH road was 45MPH and therefor show it in red as if I was going 10 over because I was going 60MPH.. it’s a good thing it was something that didn’t really matter.

I got in trouble after borrowing my parents GPS to go on a roadtrip in college because the thing records the maximum speed it has gone, 98mph did not make her happy.
Who knew a V6 T&C had so much pep?

Id say about 25% of the time it doesn’t pick up the signs correctly because of 1. Being too high or on the left side of the road 2. Being completely illegible.

It’s ok, I’m pretty sure it was while we were in Florida, anything flies in Florida right?

After just being there, I agree. I was shucking and driving.

Wait. So this reads the speed signs to know the speed limit instead of hitting a database? That’s weirdly neat!

Put a Blaupunkt San Diego 530 in Mrs. Sticks 06 Mustang, it was pretty cool. The display was similar but it had an option for the nav voice to remind you if you were speeding. It would lower the stereo volume and say ‘the speed limit is 65’ if you were exceeding it by the percent that you set in the options. I think it’s a cool feature provided you can maintain the control. I think I had it set to remind at 110% of posted limit.
Course, then the car got sold, dammit...
